Decision Support in Control Rooms
Decision Support in Control Rooms
IOTA Vue works well in control rooms and other operational settings where users need quick access to near real-time information for decision support.

Presentation Mode
Use presentation mode to expand a display for large screens and shared monitoring environments. It removes the side pane and other navigation chrome so the view fills the screen.
Enter and exit presentation mode with the Presentation Mode button in the top menu bar:

The display then fills the screen:

Presentation Mode Preferences
In your user profile, you can choose whether the toolbar and breadcrumb stay visible in presentation mode. Hiding them gives maximum screen space for wall-mounted displays. When the toolbar is hidden, move your cursor to the top of the screen to bring it back temporarily — enough to exit presentation mode or change the time range.
Embedding IOTA in External Applications
You can embed IOTA Vue displays inside external applications — for example, an operations portal or a third-party dashboard — so operators see live IOTA views alongside their other tools.
- Open a specific display and time range with URL parameters. An IOTA display can be opened directly from a URL that specifies the display, time range, and any open ad hoc trends. For how to build these URLs, see the Builder Guide; several Freshdesk knowledge-base articles also cover configuring URL parameters.
- Embedding as an iframe. If you embed IOTA as an iframe and run into security errors, contact support for help with the required security configuration — see Embedding IOTA securely.
