Migration Tools

IOTA VUE includes the IOTA Offline Import Utility — an automated migration tool that converts existing displays and graphics into IOTA VUE views in bulk, preserving layout, navigation, and data connections.

Migration is not limited to replacing end-of-life platforms. It is also used to make DCS and SCADA graphics safely accessible to business users — giving engineers, managers, and analysts visibility into operational data without adding users to the control network.

Migration Approach

Migration typically follows two steps:

Step 1: Migrate

Bulk-convert displays with minimal effort. The utility preserves familiar behaviors (e.g., ad hoc trending), minimizing training needs and operational disruption.

Step 2: Enhance

Use migration as an opportunity to modernize — add themes, connected workflows, write-back, manual data entry, UI controls, maps, and other native IOTA VUE capabilities that go beyond the source platform.
